Can anybody look up a death for me Sarah Bentley 4th August 1943 aged 27 This is my maternal grandmother who died when my mum was only 2 so we don't have much info about her Thanks Bev p.s It was the Tameside Manchester area UK |

If you continue to have problems via 1837, you might contact the local Register Office direct. They don't have a searchable website (as far as I can tell) - unlike a number of others, but this is their contact info web page: http://www.tameside.gov.uk/tmbc2/registrarsoffice.htm The fees will be the same as GRO. You'll need to give them the info you have - which looks plenty for them to be able to identify the corrrect cert. Local office's refs aren't the same as GRO's. Christine |
