Hi, can anyone help me? My dad was adopted, he was born 1956 Dock road sunderland. Apparently in some kind of home for unmarried mums. How can i find out what this was called and possibly find photos? any ideas?

Sunderland's website http://www.sunderland.gov(.)uk/pages/localservices.asp Has a local heritage section - might be worth looking there? cheers H

Hi Emma, Is this information not on his orignal birth certificate? It should state the address that he was born at. Check and see. Regards Sheila
