Twickenham postal address is now Middlesex as is Brentford, Richmond is in Surrey. Kim

If you are talking about boroughs & urban districts these came in about 1888.Twickenham being one of these.

According to the GENUKI site, it was in Brentford: Brentford Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Acton; Brentford; Chiswick; Hanwell; Isleworth; Twickenham. GRO volumes : III (1837-51); 3a (1852-1930). Acton, Chiswick, Ealing, Great Greenford, Hanwell, Heston, Isleworth, New Brentford, Old Brentford, Perivale, Twickenham, Twyford Abbey (from 1862). Registers now divided between Hounslow, Ealing and Richmond upon Thames districts.
