Some centres have the Ireland Index, and some have to order it for you. The one I went to in Plymouth had it there. I think that the index they hold covers the years from when civil registration started (about 1864) until about 1920. This date does differ depending on the event. As said before, phone them and ask what they have.

think I will wait until I can get to London. Need to go to the British Museum of Newspapers as well. Gonna be a busy day. Just need to sort out getting down there now. :(

I am aware that the family record centres of the above hold the Irish BMD. Is this the FULL Irish BMD. As I am hoping to find my elusive Great grandfather birth, which was somewhere between 1890 - 1905 regards, Siobhan
