A Carman is the equivalent to a trucker today. Transporting goods with a horse and cart usually. Contractor, speaks for itself! Are you on the 1901 site or on ancestry? It may be you need to download adobe onto your pc. There are usually facilities for this on a site that requires it. If not you can go to the Adobe website to download it. Good luck |

one can anyone tell me what a Contractors Carman is ? And 2 I have been trying to look at pages on 1901 and I am sure I am doing it wrong as every time I want to actually look at a page I have to download paf or adobe surely once its downloaded I should be able to look at pages without doing it again please tell me what I am doing wrong as its taking ages thanks a lot |
