Don't forget, when using (especially) the 1901 census, that the transcriptions can often be best (politely rather than accurately!!) described as "imaginative". You may need to use some imagination to think how the script might have looked - how it could have been misread - and then try that! Wildcard characters are very useful although they have to restrict the use on the site to prevent searches taking up too much time/space. Christine |

unbelievable my mother can remember the address of her g.grandmother.... (who she hasn't seen since she was 7!!).... is there any way i can look up the address for the 1901 census, but not the name ??? |
