My brother was born there in July 1951. I don't know if it was an old peoples home as well then though. Sue |

If you type St. Theresa's Home, Wimbledon into Google and scroll down to Hendon Times Archive, you will see that St. Theresa's Home for the Elderly is mentioned, and was still there in 2002, so could still be there today. There is also a picture showing a nun with two ladies, after a festive event raised some money for the home. Kath. x |

There were also a number of convents in the area. One of which was a nursing home for retired sisters. The name escapes me. |

I grew up in Putney which is two miles from Wimbledon. I always remember a St Theresa's to be a maternity hospital. . |

A great aunt of mine died at St Theresa's Home, Sisters of St Anne, Wimbledon, Surrey in 1939 agd 55. I should be most grateful if anyone can tell me anything about this establishment. Many thanks. |
