I suggest you contact the relevant records office/major public library. They should have a good selection of photos and may well be able to help with the numbering/identifying etc. nell |

Any ideas where I can go to obtain photographs of areas/streets in which my ancestors lived? Firstly, I was delighted to find out that George Street in Pontypool is fairly famous and found photos of the street online in which my family were living during the 1901 census -mostly taken in 1900 - fantastic! Obviously I want more!! Secondly, from the photos I have, I've got a few shop names - how can I find out what number these shops were to see if I've managed to get a photo of the particular house number 133? Cheers! |
