Hello yes I have got photo express, what setting do you think is the best to put it on they are fairly old photo's but not that old. it is mostly the faces that don't come right think it must be me. Margaret

Does your scanner give you a choice of dots per inch resolution (dpi) Most scanners default at about 150 which is good enough for most things, but for a clearer picture, change it to 300 or above if you wish. Remember though, that the higher the resolution, the bigger the file will be and more memory it will use. Also, if the photo is in black and white, you can scan it as grey scale with a high resolution, as grey scale will use less memory than a colour scan of the same dpi.

You are going to have to give more info. Have you ever had any success scanning photos or is it just these? What software are you using? By the way. Anyone looking for a decent photo organising software should download Google's Picassa. One of the best pieces of free software out there. Itmakes the software you get with digital cameras etc look really second rate. Makes emailing cropping and adjusting photos really easy. http://www#google.com/options/index#html replace # with dots. Google desktop search and toolbar are also well wortyh having from the same page if you don't have them already. Wade
