I have a problem, can anyone point me in the right direction. I want to order a birth cert or marriage cert for my Grandad, but I have a lack of info and don't know how to get what I need. Francis Ward born in Ireland 1916, died 1982. The are the only facts I have on his birth and death. Marriage to Bridget Loughran. This is the only fact I have on the marriage. If anyone could help it would be appreciated. Big thanks upfront.

Hi Lorraine, As he was born in Ireland, I'd suggest you visit the following site for info on irish BMD records. http://www.from-ireland.net/gene/civilregistration.htm I'm just starting out on tracing my irish ancestors (which so far has been a nightmare! but I'm getting there slowly), so I hope you find the info helpful. Lorraine, it would still be huge task but if he married or died in England try 1837online.com. It is not free but has scans of all pages of the registry records. As they are scans there is not an easy search vessel, just pages that COULD contain the name. Best of luck. Eileen
