Does anyone know what 'Marasmus' is/was - this was the cause of death of twins in 1916. I think someone once posted a website with medical terms but I can't remember for sure - any help appreciated!

Hi Sheila I have just done a google search by putting in medical terms and this is what I found from the medical dictionary online. Marasmus: Wasting away, as occurs with children who have kwashiorkor. Also called cachexia, is usually a result of protein and calorie deficiency. Nicola

Thanks for your help Nicola, the poor things only lived a few weeks so perhaps had problems feeding.
