This should work__________File - Export, Select other Gedcom 5.5 then select ANSEL (It might come up with a message but just click "Yes" or "OK"), Save as Type select All Files. _______ This saves the export file to your pc then all you have to do is follow the GC upload instructions

I wonder if you can help me sort myself out as I must be doing something wrong!! I exported to PAF on my PC a few weeks ago and have been working on my tree, so thought today would be a good idea to import the file back to GR - oh how wrong could I be!! After deleting all my names, I tried to import - names not matching! Thought OK I will update using my mothers name (also means I can import only older records and then would not be an issue removing the living records. Now it is excepting that I have a matching name to import to but it is saying the GEDCOM file is not correct. ARGHHH When exporting the file from PAF I choose GEDCOM 5.5 and it automatically has another field Char set, which I leave at UTF-8 I then get this error massage……Problem line in GEDCOM - Incorrect header trailer records GEDCOM etc Please can someone offer advice on how I can get my tree back on GR ( I have 336 names so don’t want to add all those by hand!!) Or more likely what I am doing wrong!! Thanks Tracie
