I am trying to get futher back than my great grand parents for my family tree. The prob;em is when I try to get any census info it is not for Southern Ireland ...........Can any one help please?

There are only two surviving Irish censuses: "Those for Ireland only survive for 1901 and 1911 and are at the National Archives, Dublin, with copies at the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland. " This info is actually on the homepage of this website, but you have to scroll down to find it. There's also a section called Tracing Irish Roots, which might be helpful to you. nell

Pat Some more irish census records are located at the web address below. Be warned the information is very sketchy and a bit hit and miss as it is not complete however it may give you an idea of areas to focus your research on. The green drop down box on the left hand side allows you to navigate between irish counties and then you will need to move up and down the page to the county you need.
