Not sure Andy. Have you looked on the Essex Pubs website. It has a list of pubs on there with many of the landlords etc. Not sure how far it goes though. I lived near Green Lane some years ago but can't remember it. But then again I was pretty young so probably wouldn't have taken it in anyway. Hope you get a more definite answer. Regards Diane |

A bit of local knowledge about Ilford, Essex is needed. One of my Wifes ancestors, William Monk, was a Licenced Victualler at the Blacksmiths Forge, Green Lane, Ilford in 1923. Does the alehouse still exist? Thanks Andy |
