The National Archivist has served in India lists, doesnt it. In Norwich there is an army museum. Google for info.

I am trying to find info on James Warnes DOB 1855 Fritton in Norfolk He as far as I have been told served in India Norfolk Regiment. He was also the treasurer for the Salvation army I think around Talywain area of Monmouth in Wales where he worked as a saddler. Any one got ideas as to how or where I should look to confirm this.
