Help needed with name variations

please could you help me find my rellies on the 1891 census by adding your Variations to the name PENNELL because i cannot find them all thank you . Diana

any ideas where they're from, any forenames, ages etc?

If you put in ages, place of birth etc and use soundex rather than exact spelling for their surname you get thousands of variants ! eg Paenale, Pamell, Panell, Pannel, Penhale, Pennel, Painall, you could also try it with a B or an R. My Raymond ancestor was down as Beymond on one census ! Give us some clues and we can all have a search. Elaine x.

I have just added a message here re soundex. Have you tried substituting B F and V for P. Then theres M for N
