national registration identity card

i have my dads card and it carries two refernce numbers. one is hand written on the inside and one printed on the outside. can i get a national insurance number from this

The short answer to this is no! The National ID Reg Cards were introduced as a wartime measure and were transferred after the war to the National Health Service Medical Cards in 1948, but these are different to your National Insurance Card. Incidentally these NH card numbers were also changed a couple of years ago. Fraud concerning National Insurance Cards is top priority for any government minister so it would be too simple to use old ID card nos. Janet
