Yes, did find this on Ancestry. But.....I'm sooooo disappointed. With a name like Lorian you'd have thought his father had an exotic occupation like author, musician, artist or Bohemian. What was he???...... a plumber!!!! Jackiex

Jackie I also found this does it help they just might of got his name wrong on the census . Name: Shaw, Lorian Ernest Record Type: Births Quarter: September Year: 1899 District: Kingston County: Middlesex Surrey Volume: 2a Page: 376

Thanks folks -that's great! It must be Norian, poor thing! Never thougth of that one! Now to get an image of the census. Think I'd better send for the birth certificate to make sure. Jackie xx

Don't know whether this helps, but Malden is very close to Kingston. Now it is part of the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames. I would think the registration district for Malden is Kingston. Worcester Park is very close to Malden too. Sue

I dont know whether this will help but i found a Norian E Shaw .No metion of kingston though sorry . Hi I have a Lorian Ernest Shaw born 1899 in Kingston in Surrey but am unable to find him on 1901 census. What else could he be named as apart from Ernest? I've tried Laurie. Jackie
