why do people change their name

Deborah, They wouldn't necessarily change their names - unless adopted there was no legal reason to, but often the children would use the surname of their stepfather, as it was easier. maggie |

if the mum has been remrried and the kids were only 1 0 and 11 after being widowed would they have to change there name legals or not hannah primrose hampson married a george young after being widowed but would gl;adys and hannah ( the kids ) change theris also ?????? im so confused |
