My grandmother was Kathleen Drake b.1915 Morley. At some stage she came to Australia & married Stephen Lasham & had a son (my father) 1939. Stephen returned to UK and Kathleen gave up my father as a ward of the state. At the time of his birth she was living in Bondi - I have had the electoral rolls searched and she was not listed. I have contacted Canberra and had her searched as well - Nothing. I (on the side) had a friend check NSW BDM's - Nothing Checked the Ryerson Index - Nothing. I don't even know if she returned to UK. Any suggestions as to what I can do now? Many thanks Janine |

Could she have remarried? Are you checking under both her maiden name and married name Debbie |

Hi Deb - Yes I've not only checked her maiden & married name but also her mothers maiden name. If she returned to the UK would there be a record somewhere. I am assumming only that she had done this as she was not registered on the Australian electoral roll. Cheers Janine |
