help <give gender, country, approx.dates

For all who are serious tracers, it would help if instead of adding a name only, please state gender, any link info. you have, eg. probable country of origin, birth, marriage, etc, and approx. dates. If you're wrong, that can be corrected later, but it saves a lot of wasted time following possible leads that go nowhere. If you only know a surname, that's fine, but surely we all know the gender of people we are looking for. Maybe what we need is another separate board that has SURNAMES ONLY... with a general question for all, e.g. ANY INFORMATION ON 'XYZ' FAMILIES OF U.K., AUSTRALIA, ETC. with no further details allowed.
