Hi how far back have you been able to go with that name? I wondered whether there was really a link with my lot, with the way that variants of spelling weren't always considered important until relatively recently. Christine

Thanks for the reply. Most the christtmass that i know arefrom Hull and are still in Hull. I am not sure if any left or came to visit.

Hi I have some CHRISTMASes, one of whom spent some time in Hull (married his Norfolk-born wife there) while in RN, before moving south by 1901 to Lincs with the Coastguard service. All the rest of the family is from Hants and thereabouts. Christine

There is a registered One name study for that surname. Perhaps Mr Christmas who runs it will be able to help. If you go to the Guild of One Name Studies site online there is a list of registered names being studied. Contact details are given too.

Have done, there was one strong possiblity but there wasa suddern stop. The link is to my real father, but I think he does not want any contaact with me. but i still would like to trace that side of the tree
