Now I think I understand how the GC web site works, and how they get those unfeasibly large numbers of new names posted on the site. It comes from something I have used to my advantage. Whenever you update your online tree by deleting the previous entry and re-loading the updated version all of your names appear as new. This means you get lots of new contacts, and the GC site appears to be more successful than it is by apparently increasing the number of names registered on the site! A bit of a con really, but useful if you want to kick your names off again!
