It's the free version of 1837online, so the updating is random.

Anyone got any idea what they have against transcribing 1904 marriages? I'm too mean to buy a certificate, but should really like to know who my great uncle married.

Gaynor - That's what it said when I tried to search! Is it us? Is it our computers? Or is the site just too busy?

Hi, Brenda, 1904, 1905 and 1906 are probably just in the queue waiting for the transcribers to complete the adjoining years.....you could always offer to help. Peter.

Free & voluntary present, 1881 census, parish registers, I've done my quota of transcribing, thanks. Just wondering if there were a hidden agenda there. Anyone interested in the discussion on the future of civil registration can go to http*://*www*.*parliamentlive*.*tv/ (remove all asterisks) to see a video of the proceedings. Brenda
