If he was serving in 1857 in India, how come he got a medal in 1909 - wouldn't he be getting on a bit? nell |

Hello. Can anyone please give me some ideas to find more information on one John Waplington, who served with the 6th Royal Warwickshire Regiment. I know he was awarded a medal on 9th January 1909, and his army number was 268. I have written numerous letters and checked a few sites on the computer, but am no wiser. I have had no luck on this site at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Patricia |
