Hi, The LDS have filmed the parish records of Charlton Marshall from 1731 to 1880 - FHL BRITISH Film 1279491 Items 7-8. You can order the film at your nearest LDS centre (£2.70) and search it there. You will find siblings, uncles and aunties and maybe a few more generations back. Good hunting, Gwynne

I am having one of those days where I just seem to be up against one brick wall after another! Grrrrrrr Please can you help me..... I am looking for the parents of ***JOHN PALMER*** - Born Abt 1812 in Charlton Marshall, Dorset. He married Rhoda (no surname) in abt 1834 again I have Charlton Marshall, Dorset. They had the following children: 1) John - Christened 6/3/1835 Charlton Marshall. 2) John - christened, 5/7/1838 in Charlton Marshall, Dorset. Died, 3/6/1922 in Weymouth, Dorset. 3) Harriett - Christened 15/11/1839 in Charlton Marshall. 4) Fanny - Christened 15/8/1840 in Charlton Marshall. 5) Joseph Robbins Palmer - Christened 16/03/1836 in Charlton Marshall. I think John Palmer Snr was an inn keeper because in the 1861 census it shows him, a widower living with his daughter, Fanny. I need to confirm his parents please, particularly as I already have a Joseph Palmer born Abt February 1789 and a Mellicent or Melior Scovell born abt 1767 in my tree as parents of George Palmer born 3/7/1802 and I was wondering if ***JOHN PALMER*** may have been George's brother. I do hope someone can help me I have been looking this one for what feels like forever. Thank you Gaynor Ann :-)
