There are helpsheets published by the National Archives to steer you through the maze(s) of forces personnel records. Have you checked on the site? Otherwise there are helpful hints in several threads with titles including words like "army", "military" and "soldier". Christine

Does anyone know how I find the references for amy enlistment papers - I am boss eyed looking without any success. I need a re-enlistment in WWI and and enlistment in 1922 Have the names, regts and Army Nos. Thank you Ann
