Completely off Topic, Peter, but are you related to Alf Hagon?

Once you do find it, put it in favourites, then you don't have to struggle again.

Hi I had a real problem finding it too. I dont know if I had a different layout on ancestry but I didnt have the "more" tab that I was told to click on. When I did it I clicked on the census collection, If you go right to the bottom of the census collection listed you get 1851. Why have they made it so confusing. After all that it only brought up the records I already have and no new ones.

Linda, you're wonderful!! I'll have a play around with that and I've added it to my favs so can't lose it in future! I couldn't find it from the "com" version either.

Well I eventually found 1851, entered a name and then was told to register before I could be shown the results! Is that what I have to do? Will I have to pay? Still confused, Jean

Hi Peter, I spent ages looking for it and was beginning to think I was dense or that maybe everyone else was using a different Ancestry to me. Then I found it and guess what ...I didn't find anyone lol. Kaye.

I've always used ancestry(.)com as the home page, but 1851 doesn't seem to appear on here, only on ancestry(.)co(.)uk

www.ancestry.*co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=7918 (delete the *) will take you straight there. Try searching on surname only to start with. Entering the county name as a keyword should elicit birth place details.....inspired guesses as keywords might also reveal the enumeration district (ED). Peter.
