PC HELP NEEDED PLEASE.......

Hi Wayne - done all of the above - no change - it's still asking for a disc to inserted in D drive when it already is! :(( I even did a system restore back to Friday before I started all this and that didn't solve it either. |

1. Reboot your PC. -- 2. double click > My Computer on your desktop. Can you see the drive listed there? -- 3. Run a virus check on your PC. -- 4. go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add Hardware > this will open a wizard - follow the steps. Let me know how you get on. Wayne |

My computer has suddenly stopped reading any CD-Roms! I had been trying to make some copies and managed to get two done, then it refused to make a copy of the third one and after that it continually tells me the 'D' drive in not ready and to insert a CD, when it already has one loaded. I have tried to load and read existing CDRs and its not having any of it. The Device Manager is telling me that it is working correctly, but it isnt - any ideas please?? |
