I am new to this, I have been reading all the messages and I would like to know what 'lol' or 'LOL' means, also what happens when you 'nudge' a message. Ta very much, Brian Thank you for that Nell. Now I know it, was rather obvious, don't grow old it's a pain in the b.m, Brian

Brian Be baffled no more! LOL means laughing out loud. I prefer to type "haha" which is a bit easier to understand. Nudging a thread brings it back up to the top of the message board. You can add a message that says "nudge" or something similar. Once its back up, you can delete the thread so no-one knows you've nudged it. It's a useful thing to do if for example you've posted a query and its got lost without any replies, or if it is relevant to another query someone else posts later. You'll soon get the hang of it. Welcome to the boards, by the way! nell

Stop it Carol! The poor man will be totally confused! Brian, she means Rolling On the Floor Laughing My Head Off (which is quite hard to do if you are simultaneously typing a message). nell

Carol. I was stationed at Yeovil in '54/55, I met my wife there, a Scouser in the WRAC. The camp is long gone I believe. brian
