Please please do be careful of these sites. They are only as good as the people who put the information on them. They are not checked and if you find a mistake on their records, they do not answer your letters or correct the false information. To be on the safe side always check the original records at your local RO. Each county has a RO where the staff are only too pleased to help you get started. Sometimes you can even see the original documents if you are very lucky. Mostly you see micro fiche. Go down to your local library and find out what is available. There are family History groups everywhere now. Good Hunting Rose

Google Hugh Wallis batch numbers - this will give you a county list, then you can check by parish for which records and dates are covered. You can do a search directly from those batch nos if you wish. nell

If you can't find anything on the IGI, try the BIVRI. The IGI on familysearch is never augmented or amended but the BIVRI has more records with each version. Google 'Vital Records Index' and 'coverage' and it will tell you what counties and years are covered.

I dont know of any list, but the IGI is not complete. I think they keep adding to it as and when they get the information. Remember that it should only be used as a finding aid, and any result verified with the primary source document. ie. the actual parish register or bishops transcript.

Does anybody out there know how comprehensive the LDS IGI is. Is there a list anywhere of which church records have been transcibed and which have not?
