I've been unable to find the Death Index of my G. Grandmother (Ellen McElroy), whom died around 1965 - 1975 in the Croydon district, but what's strange is that the surnames beginning with "MC" seem to vanish during and after 1969... The telephone directories now put Mc and Mac in one list so that McDuff and Macduff will be together. I would guess that the BMD list is the same.

Thanks Geoff (I should have thought of that)! Maybe now, I can finally discover what year my G. Grandmother really passed away... I will search under Mac!
