I'm really stuck and would just like to know what websites people are using to find their ancestors and where else they get their information from? I can't find any maiden names I can't trace any addresses I am going insane!!! Thanks Becx

Hi The only way to find maiden names is to order birth or marriage certificates. Or in the case of a birth from 1910 onwards, if you find the birth registered on the 1837online website it will give the mothers maiden name which will help get you going. I have nudges the 'Best Websites' thread to the top for you. Have a look on there, loads of stuff to look at. Sam

Why don't you try this site. There are lots of useful links on it for the whole of the U.K. [email protected]
