Good morning all, Does anyone know of any on-line look up sites for Hampshire UK ?. Have tried FreeBMD, family search, 1901 census etc, but no luck with my "wall". Dates interested in are from 1850 to 1900. Any help gratefully recieved. Regards, Mike.

Hi Gwynneth, Tried them last year, I used up all my credits just trying to get into the info. Thanks for answering though. If it's not got a wooden handle, it's to complicated for me!!lol Mike.

Hi Michael, Long time no see. If you are researching the Isle of Wight they are creating a searchable database of BMD from 1837 on the IoW FHS Site. Good hunting, and how's the fishing? Jim

Hiya Jim, Yes! No! Cheers! Not so good! Well, thats answered yours lol. How are you? Whats this "grampa" bit. (I try to keep quiet about it). After 12 the novelty wears off ha ha . I,m still chasing my tail trying to find out about my g?mother. Tried the PRO,s at Soton and Winch, found zilch. If her name was not on dads B cert I would be thinking that she did not exist. Have been chatting to She Anderson, I was saying how the site seems to have changed over the past year. Not so "cosy" somehow. I guess I will get used to it. Regards for now, and it is good to hear from you again, Mick D

familyhistoryonline is payperview, but you can register free and check whether they are listed within the county. 1891 census is there, and I think burials pre 1837 too. Brenda

Hi Brenda, Thanks for your reply, I will give those a look. At the moment I am overjoyed. I went on to freecen as Linda suggested and after a few tries I managed to get in. AND THERE SHE WAS. My paternal g/mother, with her father, mother, brothers and sisters, even HER g/mother. Thus ends a few years of searching for proof of her existance. Now to take it further, another few years I wonder ? THANKS TO ALL THAT REPLIED, I really do appreciate your efforts. Regards, Mick D.

Hi again Linda, Thankyou so much for your suggestion re freecen. As you will see by the Message above, I found her. Please pour yourself a large portion of your favourite tipple and charge it to my account. I really am over the moon about this find. Its been a family mystery for so many years. (See the TTF board under Bennett). Cheers again. Regards Mick D.
