Hi Carol, They told me it would only take about five days so I'll see what they can do. I hope they can confirm the details because its my nana's father and she knows nothing about his family, except his father died when he was very young. Nicky

A marriage certificate I received was all printed because the original would have been illegible. Maybe they can do that for you.

The surname is Sage but there is nothing in the first name which would help determine what it says. I've contacted the office who said they will try and print a further copy, if I return the one I have. Thanks Nicky

Nichola Contact the office which supplied the certificate and see if they can tell you what it says - it might be clearer on the original. Alternatively, post what you have here with * for undecipherable letters and we can have a go. Is it a very common surname? nell

I have received a marriage certificate I ordered and everything is readable except the one piece of information I needed, the grooms father. There is a name there but all that is visable is the surname and dedeased. The first name has a few lines visable but nothing to determine what the name is. Any suggestions what to do. Nicky
