I use the 1901 decoder but have a question...

I know the person ID cannot be used anymore and have had good results with the page ID. I'm just about to email a friend in Australia to tell her how I found her family so went to the Decoder website to for a refresher and read that it groups by page ID. My question is, does it still? When I click 'sort by page ID', they certainly don't 'group' together so I have to scroll through each cell looking for matches. Am I doing something wrong? would appreciate some advice. thanks Sue

The latest version of the Decoder is 1.0.10 It works to "Group by page ID" (the second of the six items on the drop-down menu.

Geoff thanks for that...I have version 1.0.8 so that probably explains it. Is it easy to update? Sue

Hi Sue Yes it is, and very useful too. You can delete the columns you don't want, saves space and time when sending it by email. It doesn't sort into ages, so if you go to the top, but first click on the top cell for page id then on the top line you will find sort, leave the first box as it is then the next one click on the one for age you want the oldest 1st. They will all stay sorted in page Id. Irene
