Andrea I wonder if you would be kind enough to look for William Holden, his wife Ruth and (known) children: Ellen Sarah(b1862) John James (b 1865) Alice (1868) there may be other children I dont know about. I have William in 1861 living with his father Henry at Poverty Hall (yes! really!) in Oswaldtwistle. I have William and Ruth in 1881 at Victoria Buildings in Eccleshill, in 1891 at 1, Myrtle Cottage, Yate with Pickupbank, and in 1901 still at Myrtle Cottage. I would love to sight them in 1871, just to complete the set so to speak. Thankyou very much.Oh, William would have probably been connected with the cotton industry in 1871. Marjorie

Wish I had some rellies in Lancashire for you to look up Andrea! lol. If you put your offer on the Records Office board you will get more takers as that's where poeple generally go if they want a look up. Jeanette x

I have the 1871 Lancashire Census on CD so if anyone needs help I can try to find people. Please bear with me though as I have only just received it and the going may be slow. Andrea
