Emma Report 18 Oct 2004 14:19

Lita, Had a look on the site I usually use and no sign of it - however found this on a modern site Glioblastoma Multiforme Important It is possible that the main title of the report Glioblastoma Multiforme is not the name you expected. Please check the synonyms listing to find the alternate name(s) and disorder subdivision(s) covered by this report. Synonyms Giant Cell Glioblastoma, Multiforme Spongioblastoma Multiforme,Glioblastoma Disorder Subdivisions None General Discussion Glioblastoma multiforme is a highly malignant, rapidly infiltrating, primary brain tumor, with tentacles that may invade surrounding tissue. This provides a butterfly-like distribution pattern through the white matter of the cerebral hemispheres. The tumor may invade a membrane covering the brain (the dura), or spread via the spinal fluid through the ventricles of the brain. Spread of the tumor (metastasis) outside the brain and spinal cord is rare. Hope this is some help, Emma P.S. I usually use www.paul_smith.doctors(.)org(.)uk/ArchaicMedicalTerms.htm
