Clifford - I have just used the Traceline service - give the GRO a ring and they will send you a very easy form to fill in. I was also looking for someone reported missing during WW2 and not seen or heard of from that time. Turns out he died in the early 1960's about 50 miles from his birthplace ! It's worth a try. Good Luck ~:o)

Clifford You might be able to find him through official records - Traceline will pass on a message if they do find him, but you have to pay. Further details: www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/research/traceline/index.asp#0 Good luck! nell

My uncle went missing 1940/1950's. He may have changed his name or emigrated. Born 1923 c he could still be about. Is this too big a problem or can I get it sorted ? Suggestion welcomed. Cliff.
