Lorr Had a look on Freebmd but no Walters/Webster matches in the right time frame. Then, as Sarah said, it crashed! Ali

Hi to you both - gosh I really didn't expect any replies! Thank you so much. I think I was so excited at last to find Mary Eleanor's name before she married and of course like many others you find that there's another thing to get over! I found Ann & Joseph's marriage and thought I was on a roll. I would ask for a census look up but I'm not sure when Ann was a Webster or single as Jones? This hobby certainly keeps you on your toes doesn't it? Thanks again for looking in luv Lorr x x x

Is it a bird? is it a plane? Report 15 Oct 2004 22:22

I was going to try looking for Ann Jones' marrying Websters between 1855 and 1871 but... FreeBMD appears to be down :(

I went over to see my Mum's cousin on Wednesday my Mum's other cousin's wife was there. She brought some certificates with her for me to scan. She had my Gt Granny's birth cert - Mary Eleanor Walters born 1872. I've been searching for her name before she married, so that was great. So I now know her mother and father. I've just found their marriage ref. Her mother was a bit tricky because she's Ann Jane Walters, late Webster formerly Jones. Father Joseph Walters. Bear with me won't you. So their marriage (Ann&Joseph) looks like Apr,May, JUN 1871 - this means that Ann though was married previously to (unknown) Webster. I'm guessing Ann was born approx 1850? So her first marriage to Webster must have been when she was quite young? Do you think that's about right? Would you think it was best now to try and find them on a census? Luckily I think they're in Liverpool for all of this. Thank you for any thoughts luv Lorr x x x
