Thanks, This search was easier than I thought. I've found them. 1926. Cheers Nicky

Hi, The marriage will be in parish records (unless it was a register office marriage) but you have to know the name of the church or chapel from the dozens of possibles. Parish records (over 100 years old) are usually held in the county record office, but some are still with the churches. The LDS have filmed some PRs and you can order them at an LDS centre to search there but again you need the name of the church. The GRO route is much faster and easier. Gwynne

Hi, Thanks both, I do know about 1837online and the GRO ref. I use them regularly to request certs. I just wondered if there would be any parish records for this period to speed things up. I've had problems with viewing saved images. Something to do with my virus softwate, and it takes ages with my printer to print them. Oh well Thanks Nicky

Hi, This will be on the GRO index. From the index you can find the reference number which will allow you to buy the certificate. Look in the Getting started section of the resource centre for ways to access the GRO. Gwynne

I am trying to find details about a marriage between Sidney Sage and Annie Mouncey in York. I think the marriage may have been betwwen 1925 and 1930. Would this be held in any parish records. Nicky
