Hi This may seem like a silly question but I have added all of my immediate family as this site prompts you when you first start, ie. mother, father, grandparents etc... I have noticed that it does not link my grandparents on both sides as being partners. I have also added their other children ie my Aunts and uncles but they only end up related to their mothers and my tree does not record who their fathers are. I have tried to add this information but I just end up with duplicate entries which I have to delete. I am confused. Also on a few occasions I keep getting errors which stops me from edited details, am I doing something wrong???? Thanks Vicki

I guess you are looking at your tree in the 'Build Your Tree' window. Let me reassure you that partners are linked to the children, it's just that GR likes to display the father's line. To see the same children but under the mother you have to click the maternal line button under her name. GR won't show you your full tree because of this. Hence you have to choose the relevant line you want it to display. Egon
