Sue, When you click on view trees it comes up with view trees then view their relations next to the name. Just click on that and a list of names will appear. Hopefully you will find the one you are looking for. Frances

Thanks for responding! How do you look at their relations? Is that on the contacts list somewhere? Nice to hear from you, Frances! I'll try to catch up soon, but have been very busy at work since early Sept. did get to see my sister-in-law's genealogy folders, though, so now have photcopies of a few more certs! It was also VERY satisfying showing her my proof that the internet CAN be a way to uncover genuine info- thanks to you, NRO and my GC/GR helpers! Sue (in NZ)

It is easier to look first at their relations, rather than their tree, although even this can be frustrating if they've got a lot. Specially if you are looking for someone at the end of the alphabet! I don't know why GenesR doesn't make it easier to search the list. Anne

Hi Sue, How are you? I don`t think anyone would mind if you asked for clear directions to the name you want, I certainly wouldn`t! It must be really frustrating to be so close and yet so far. Let me know if I can help with any local info. Regards, Frances

I have the same trouble if the trees are big. It's all right when I know the connection such as a second cousin but other wise the ones going back several hundred years are like looking in a haystack never mind a tree. Pauline

Several people have been kind enough to give me access to their trees, but it seems impossible to locate the person I'm trying to find on it, unless they're on the main name branch. I try to follow on to the other pages via the green links, but end up in circles, not finding what I'm after . Am I missing something simple here? Or are others finding this feature almost worthless too? I don't want to have to bother the tree 'owner' to give me detailed instructions (Turn left at John Smith etc") but can't see how else to get to the hidden treasure! Hints, please! Sue (in NZ)
