My GG Grandparents were 16 when they married in 1845 and it was down as Full Age. It basically means of Full Age ...as far as they were concerned! Sheila

It was 21 but, don't worry, they often lied.

I know this has been asked before but I was half asleep as it didn't seem to apply to me at the time, until now. Basically the marriage certificate I received today, dated 1845, says that both were of 'full age'. I'm hoping this means 18, not 21! Anyone any pearls of wisdom? Jonathan
