Duncan my mum was in the Women's Land Army. They have had a very poor deal over the years. If not for the Land Girls hard work to keep up food production, then this country could not have got through the war. They have only just won the right to march with everyone else in the official Remembrance Day Parade in Whitehall, and were only granted service medals a few years ago. I doubt that there will be any records at the Ministry of Defence somehow. Leave it with me and I will ask my mum for the address of the WLA Association - a newsletter is produced 2 or 3 times a year for 'Old Girls'! Will get back to you. Maz. XX
