Anyone know the Leeds history near university??

Karen have a look here it has 1917 trade directory of Leeds, need to zoom in. You can search . Woodhouse Lane(where it is) returns 200+ hits . The building will probably still exist knowing that area of Leeds. http://www.historicaldirectories.org Bob |

Any "oldtimers" from Leeds around please? My grandmother used to tell us when we were kids that she was a waitress at a posh restaurant opposite the Leeds University. It was her claim to fame because she used to serve lots of important people. This would have been around 1910 - 1923 ish. Would anyone know the name of this establishment please??? |
