Hi Bev, I have re-sent my message several times to one particular person on GR, and quite recently contacted GR about the problem, but there is nothing they can do. They just say that as the person is now in my contacts list, the message has been sent. I think, like you, that perhaps the messages have gone straight into spam folders and been deleted. Just because GR say the message has been sent, doesn't mean it has been received and read. Kath x

If you click on Your Contacts on the left hand side of your screen, you should see a copy of the message you sent. I too have been waiting months for a reply, either they don't go on genes, or maybe changed their e mail address and not notified this site. Val

You don't now get an email saying that you have sent a message. Maybe the people you have sent messages to are not online at the moment and will reply later. However I have sent messages to a few people who I think have ancestors in common, and have had no reply after several months, so I think maybe these people are no longer full members of GR. I think you now have to be a full (paying) member to send and receive messages). Kath

Does GR no longer send copies of your sent messages to your email inbox?.... I'm sitting here waiting for replies to several messages and nothing is happening :-( and have just realised that, although the messages are in my sent box here, that there has been nothing come through to my email to say I actually sent them....if you see what i mean...sorry that was long winded
