1901 CENSUS

Can anyone tell me if there is any record of people abroad with the army when the 1901 census was carried out. If there is where can I find it. My grandfather was with the 1st Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Regiment (I think in South Africa) at the time.

Hello, try your local town archives office or family history society, both places may have lists detailing the info' you are looking for.
