David, I remember looking for a birth in those years in the St. Catherines index and I had trouble reading the fiches and gave up....so I think you are probably right. I felt so frustrated...but that is research, i tell myself! Good hunting. Joan

Hi David, there is only 1856 that have had all 4 quarters available to be transcribed, the others have only 1 or 2 quarters available, so that might be why those years are a bit low. if you have a look at view images on the main page you can see which quarters on which years are available. hope all that makes sense !! Jane x

I have noticed that the percentage of births transcribed for this period is very low. Is this because of a problem with the quality of the original data, or just that it has not been allocated yet.
