Hello Jeanette, I have got quite a few things I would like looking up for the Beverley one, but really I can't ask you to do it for me, if I went there to the record office what do they want is it 2 photo's and some sort of identification, I guess you have to book a fiche like you do at Lincoln. When are you going to either of the record offices, I could maybe ask you to do a couple of look ups. Ta for that Jeanette......................... only just found my way round the Lincoln Archives I was scared stiff for a start, do you have anyone this way that you want a look up for at Lincoln?

Hi Sue I've haven't come across any ancestors in Lincolnshire yet but thanks for asking. EYRO don't ask for photos or ID. Just ring and make an appointment. They will probably ask what records you intend to be looking at. You have to sign in when you get there. There's nowhere to eat or drink on the premesis but it's only a stones throw from the main shopping area so plenty of cafes and pubs. Remember to take a cardi cos it's not always the warmest of places! lol Jeanette x ps. Haven't got any firm plans yet as to when I'm next going - I tend to go on a whim! lol. I'll email you when I'm next going

Hi Jeanette, It is the same in Lincoln Archives, there is nowhere to eat or even have a drink of coffee, I don't expect them to put a cafe in the building but it would be nice just to have a place where you can just eat your lunch, the car park is always full, so you have to walk a bit to go back to your car. But saying that , they are the most helpful people I know nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Sue.................... You don't always want to take a trip into the town to eat once you get going in there do you.
